We received notice that the City of Emeryville Planning Commission will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, October 2, 2014 in the City Council Chambers located at 1333 Park Avenue to consider a Final Development Plan for the Theatre Site of the Marketplace Redevelopment Project Planned Unit Development (“PUD”).
Project Description: construction of approximately 216 rental apartment units and 290 parking spaces in a seven story structure.
Location: the Project will be developed on an approximately 1.79-acre site on the site of the former United Artists Theatre southwest of the intersection of 64th and Shellmound Streets in Emeryville at APN: 49-1556-1.
Applicant: AvalonBay Communities, Inc.
Entitlements: Final Development Plan (“FDP”)
Status: The City Council will hold a study session to review the FDP for a revised Phase IC/II on “Parcel D” of the Marketplace Redevelopment Project PUD that was approved by the City Council on August 5, 2008. An Environmental Impact Report for the Marketplace Redevelopment Project PUD was certified by the City Council on January 15, 2008.
