We received notice that the Newark Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the Newark Prima Project on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. The hearing will be held in the Council Chambers, located at 37101 Newark Blvd. in Newark.
Project Description: construction of 282 units on 19.43 acres.
Location: North of Mowry Avenue, South of Cedar Boulevard, east of Alpenrose Court and west of Cedar Court and the I-880 Freeway, in the City of Newark (Assessor Parcels: 092A-2587-006; 092A-2587-007; 092A-2587-008; 092A-2588-006; 092A-2588-005 and 092A-2588-008-03).
Applicant: Newark Prima
Entitlements: General Plan Amendment, Rezoning, a Planned Unit Development, and Conditional Use Permit, a Tentative and Final Subdivision Map and Architectural and Site Plan Review.
Status: A Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration (“MND”) was released with a comment deadline of September 18, 2014. We sent you notification of the MND’s release on September 8, 2010. We did not file comments on this Project. The Newark Planning Commission will now hold a hearing to consider the adoption of (1) a resolution adopting the MND, (2) a resolution approving the planned unit development and conditional use permit, and (3) recommending the City Council approve the Vesting Tentative Map for the Project.
